GPS Radiosonde

Radiosonde system measures vertical range of meteorological factors and transmits measured vertical data to the data processing ground station. This system provides base data of numerical prediction modeling of the atmosphere.

 

 
Launched with balloon, Radiosonde`s sensor package measures vertical range of temperature, humidity and pressure up to 35km (5 hpa) over sea level. Additional wind data is measured by rawinsonde (radio-wind-sonde) and with rawinsonde, the total Radiosonde sounding system is established. Generally, Radiosonde sounding system includes both Radiosonde and rawinsonde concept.
